Joe has either played a hero or villain over the years...but no matter what role he plays - he excels & shows his great talent to us all.
Like the Panther, Joe has a sleek muscular elegant disposition, with a strong ferocious external appearance at times, but a real pussycat inside. This is seen by his many roles playing the bad guy & then with his private life, his generosity & support to his close charitable causes he works tirelessly for.
The following section I have added some bits & pieces of trivia as reported in the media & other areas. This is more an information area, REMEMBER this is reported & NOT my necessarily my opinions.
1. Reported...During the filming of Riptide, Joe penny suffered sea sickness.
2. Quoted by JP... I'd love to have kids one day. And I'd love to have a family. And I've got to get the mom thing worked out...mommy deals...little
bit of an issue. I've got to find a woman crazy enough to put up with me because I'm not a walk in the park believe me.
3. Awards Won.... Joe won a Swedish Aftonbladet Award in 1993 in the category 'Best Foreign TV Personality.
4. In Riptide Joe played Nick Ryder one of 3 detectives of the agency called riptide. During this time he was designated the sexiest man of America.
5. Jake and The Fatman Trivia... Most of the show's episodes are named after well-known songs from the swing Era.
6. During the filming of Jake and the Fatman, Joe was sick & it was reported that he had aides, also he had an experience with Cocaine, the truth
according to Joe is that he was rundown due to the gruelling work schedule & suffered a cold which turned into pneumonia, which caused him
to lose body condition.
7. In the episode of Jane Doe, ‘Yes, I Remember It Well’, in the first scenes that Joe appears, namely at the terminal when he is checking out the lift
used for the kidnapping, if you look closely, Joe’s left eye appears to be a bit swollen & black, although the make up does cover it & appears
very thick & overdone.
8. In the episode of Jane Doe, "Vanishing Act", when the charter plane lands after the incident in the air, you can clearly see two men in the
cockpit of the plane
9. Joe apparently once practiced Nichiren Shoshu, a subsidiary of Buddhism, praying twice a day.
10. It was also reported that Joe loved to cook.
11. On DOOLS final episode with Joe - when the camera pans along his body lying on floor, you can see his stomach & chest moving as he breaths,
also if you listen closely you can hear him actually breathing.
