In 2004 Joe commenced filming the first episodes of his latest TV venture, The Mystery Movie Series, Jane Doe, with Lea Thompson.　 the show is a mystery show with Joe playing, Frank Darnell CSA Bureau boss, & Lea Thompson plays Cathy Davis (code name - Jane Doe) who is lured back into her old job with the CSA.

The show is filmed in & around Los Angeles, CA. with a total of 9 episodes made to-date, or rather aired, the last being Eye of The Beholder, however a tenth episode was apparently made between "Yes, I Remember It Well" & "he Harder They Fall". This episode was titled "The Bridgadoon Effect" aka "The Vanishing Trick". Why this episode was never released remains a mystery, maybe we need to call in Jane Doe to find the missing piece. Although it was around the time that Hallmark was sold which may explain why this episode has disappeared.
